You should receive your Acceptance notification via e-mail (2-3 weeks after we have received all the required documents). You will receive a follow-up email with information about the Next Steps (enrollment deposit and I-20 application) within 48 hours of receiving your admission decision.

Let us know you are committing to Caldwell University by Submitting your Enrollment Deposit
To reserve your spot at Caldwell University, please submit your enrollment deposit: $250 for commuters (off-campus housing) or $450 for residents (on-campus housing). The amount of your deposit will be credited to your account. Deposits are refundable only in case of a visa denial. Visa appointment date must have been provided in advance.
The enrollment deposit deadline is June 1st (Fall semester) or December 1st (Spring semester).

Activate your NetID and Access your Caldwell Email Account
Your NetID is your Student Portal and Email account login ID. You should receive an email with your NetID and Caldwell email account access instructions within 3 business days of submitting your enrollment deposit.
You will start receiving important communications to your Caldwell University email account shortly after so please check your Caldwell email account on a regular basis.

Submit your I-20 Application and Supporting Financial Documents
To be eligible to apply for a student (F1) visa, you are required to apply for a Form I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility for International F-1 Student Status)
You should receive your Form I-20 within 2 weeks of submitting a complete I-20 application with ALL necessary supporting financial documents.
*You can submit your I-20 application with all the necessary supporting financial documents for review prior to making your enrollment deposit; however, we will not be able to issue your official Form I-20 until your enrollment deposit has been received.

Pay the SEVIS Fee (I-901 Fee)
Pay the SEVIS Fee and complete the form I-901 (make sure to enter your personal information exactly as it appears on your Form I-20).
Caldwell University’s school code is: NEW214F01054000.
Your SEVIS ID number is located on the top left of your Form I-20.
You should print your payment receipt and keep it for your records.
Visit http://www.usembassy.gov to locate the embassy or consulate near you to schedule your visa appointment. Wait times for an appointment can be lengthy so you should apply as soon as possible after receiving your Form I-20.

*Canadian citizens are not required to obtain a visa to enter the United States; however, they must obtain a Form I-20 and pay the SEVIS fee before entering the United States.

Submit your Housing Forms (Resident Students Only)
If you plan on living on-campus and made a $450 enrollment deposit, you will receive a welcome email from the Office of Residence Life with information on how to submit your Housing Forms. For any specific questions regarding housing, please contact the Office of Residence Life ([email protected]).

Complete your Placement Tests
All new students are required to complete the required placement test (Math). Placement Test information will be sent to you via email after making an enrollment deposit but it can also be found here. You will not be able to be registered for classes for your first semester until your placement test is completed so you should take it as soon as possible.

Submit your Required Health Forms
Resident and Commuter students should return the required Health Forms (Traditional Undergraduate Full Time Student) to the Office of Health Services before their arrival on campus.

Submit your Official Final Transcript Evaluation
All students that completed their secondary school studies outside of the United States must have their secondary school transcripts evaluated by a NACES member agency. A list of accepted NACES members can be found here.
The evaluation must state that you have achieved the equivalent of completion of a U.S. High School diploma.
*College/University level transcript evaluations must be a “course by course evaluation”.
* Students from Nepal have the option of having their transcripts attested by USEF Nepal (official hard copies of the attested documents are required) instead of submitting a NACES evaluation.

Come to Caldwell University and Attend the Mandatory International Student Orientation
Keep in mind that you are allowed to enter the United States no earlier than 30 days prior to the start date listed on your Form I-20.
