Art Scholarship Opportunity
Caldwell University offers bachelor’s degrees in Art, Art Therapy Double Major in Art and Psychology, Graphic Design, and Studio Art, and students accepted to an art program have the opportunity to earn an additional Art Scholarship worth up to $6,000 per year! This scholarship would be in addition to any other scholarships offered at the time of acceptance to Caldwell University. Art scholarships are open to new incoming freshmen and transfer students who have been accepted to an Art program at Caldwell.
To be considered, accepted students must submit a digital portfolio of at least ten (10) different works, preferably from the past two years.
Portfolio Requirements
Portfolios should contain a minimum of ten (10) different works of original art. Additionally, please include the source material for each work of art, meaning was it drawn from life, sourced from photography, a video game, imagination or fan art.
It is preferable that portfolio works be no more than two (2) years old
Each portfolio work should be labeled with: TITLE, YEAR, DIMENSIONS, AND MEDIUM
Digital format is preferred, and students can submit portfolios to jnoonan@caldwell.edu with the subject line “Art Portfolio Submission” by using one of the following methods:
Linking to an online portfolio or website in the email
Linking to a shared Google Slides, PowerPoint, or PDF document in a service folder, such as Google Drive (making sure permissions are open for viewing), in the email
Linking to digital download Google Slides, PowerPoint, or PDF by a service such as WeTransfer (making sure permissions are open for downloading), in the email
Attaching a Google Slides, PowerPoint, PDF or other digital file to the email that does not exceed 10 MB in size
Review Process
Portfolios will be reviewed by the Art Department faculty on a rolling basis
Faculty will score portfolios and send their recommendations to Admissions to then determine the scholarship amount
Students will be informed of an awarded scholarship from the Art Department
