*S-STEM program: Caldwell University was awarded a National Science Foundation Division of Undergraduate Education Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Program (S-STEM) grant to support the retention and graduation of high-achieving, low-income students majoring in biology, chemistry, or mathematics. Students participating in the program will receive a $5,500 per year scholarship.
**SMART program scholarship: Caldwell University’s SMART Program will help meet the local and national need for high school teachers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) by providing scholarships and support to students aiming to teach biology, chemistry, or math at the secondary level. SMART Program Scholars will receive at least $16,000 in scholarship funds for each of their last two years at Caldwell as they pursue a degree in secondary education and a degree in biology, chemistry, or math.
***STEM Advance program: The STEM Advance program aims to increase the number of students (especially from Hispanic or disadvantaged backgrounds) choosing majors and careers in STEM by improving teaching and facilities, offering students wrap-around support, and helping students develop their STEM identity.
