Congratulations on your admission to Caldwell University (CU)! The Office of International Student Services (OISS) is your office on campus! We are here to help you with any questions or concerns you may have about visa and immigration matters, the College, adjusting to a new community or just anything you want to know!

**EARLIEST DATE YOU MAY ENTER THE U.S: SATURDAY, JULY 30**
Although your visa may be issued as early as 120 days before the program start date indicated on your Form I-20, federal regulations prohibit entering the U.S. earlier than the EARLIEST ADMISSION DATE ON YOUR I-20! Do not attempt to use your Form I-20 to enter the U.S. earlier than July 30 – your earliest admission date. You may be returned to your home country or be admitted as a visitor – which does not permit you to attend school!
**MOVE INTO RESIDENCE HALLS (for students with confirmations only) **

If you applied for housing on-campus, paid a housing deposit and received a confirmation of your room assignment you may move into your residence hall on these dates. Do NOT come to campus without confirmation of your room assignment.
**INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ORIENTATION**
(All International Students MUST Attend)
Wednesday – Thursday, August 24-25
8am ā 5pm Westervelt Lecture Hall
YOU MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS WITH YOU!!!
- Passport
- Copy of CU Form I-20
- Copy of Forms I-20 from any other U.S. schools you have attended
- Photocopies of your passport, including, identification pages, F-1 Student visa, Admission Stamp opposite the visa and Form I-94 Departure Record. If you arrive by a land port, you will receive a paper Form I-94. If you arrive at the port of entry by air or sea, an automated Form I-94 record will automatically be generated for you by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers. CBP will provide you with an admission stamp on your passport that is annotated with date of admission, class of admission and admitted-until date. The electronic arrival/departure record can be obtained at www.cbp.gov/I94.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ALL PHOTOCOPIES ARE CLEARLY LEGIBLE.
All F-1 students must present these documents before they will be permitted to register.Ā
**CLASSES BEGIN!!!!**
Monday, August 29
This is the Initial Session Start Date that appears on your Form I-20. If you canāt arrive by this date, contact us immediately. Do not make plans to come to the U.S. after this date!! Immigration can deny your entry if you arrive at the port of entry after this date.
**LAST DAY YOU CAN REGISTER OR MAKE A CHANGE IN YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE**
