Study Abroad and International Travel (if applicable)

Stage 3:

  • What is the institution’s plan for study abroad programs, domestic and international travel?

Study abroad programs have been suspended for the 2020 – 2021 academic year regardless of what stage of the restart plan we are in.

Only essential domestic travel is allowed with cabinet level approval.  It is anticipated that there will be little or no business travel.  The Caldwell University Employee Return to Work Policies and Guidance document includes a section about travel that is based upon CDC guidance. Anyone travelling in from states identified as high risk will be required to quarantine.

  • How will the institution communicate with students and employees regarding changing travel restrictions?

In March, Caldwell University implemented an online form for international students to inform us of their travel outside of the United States.  The University has updated the form for use by all faculty, staff, and students travelling internationally or domestically in states that are restricted by New Jersey.  Quarantine policies are clearly explained in the automatic response individuals will receive following the completion of the form which is on the University website using this link: ttps://www.caldwell.edu/coronavirus-update

Notification of the requirement to complete the form will be sent via email to all faculty, staff, and students..
