Caldwell University is a private, accredited Catholic university in Caldwell, NJ offering bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees and a vibrant campus life complete with rewarding activities, clubs, and service opportunities.
Currently enrolled students seeking to take a course at another institution to satisfy requirements or pre-requisites for a Caldwell University program must obtain approvalbefore registering for the course at the other institution. Students must meet the necessary criteria to qualify, eligibility requirements include: a minimum of 15 earned CU credits; cumulative GPA 2.5 (Nursing and Education majors need a minimum of 2.75); no more than2 courses (6-8* credits) may be completed; the course cannot be offered by Caldwell University in the term in which it is being requested to be taken elsewhere. Grades earned below a C are not accepted. At least 50% of the majors must be completed at Caldwell. Students who have earned 90 or more credits cannot exceed the Residency Requirement and must complete their remaining credits at Caldwell University. Courses previously taken at Caldwell will not qualify for transfer credit.
Complete the Course at Another Institution form (found on the CU Portal). This requires approval of your Advisor, the Chair, and the Registrar. Courses that have pre-determined equivalencies can be found at Transfer Credit Equivalencies. A copy of the pre-approved equivalency may be used instead of Chair approval.
