WASHINGTON SEMESTER PROGRAM OF AMERICAN UNIVERSITY
Under the Washington Semester Program of American University , Caldwell students spend one semester in residency at American University, taking advantage of the many resources of the Washington D.C. area.
The program involves a seminar, internship experience and the option of an independent research project or course elective. Washington Semester students earn a full semester of credit and can focus on one of several areas of study : American Politics, The Middle East & World Affairs, Global Economics & Business Foreign Policy, International Law and Organizations, Journalism, Justice & Law, Peace & Conflict Resolution and Transforming Communities.
Students enroll at Caldwell University during this semester, but pay tuition at the American University rate and may use federal financial aid. The program is open to second semester sophomores, juniors and seniors. Eligible students must submit two applications: the American University Application and the Caldwell Study Abroad Application . Scholarships may be available.

Dominican University’s Summer Study in Fanjeaux for Dominican Colleges and Universities (Fanjeaux, France)
This international summer study experience brings together faculty, administrators, students and staff from U.S. Dominican schools to southern France. Mornings are spent in study, afternoons in excursions to historic sites in southern France with a focus on places significant in the early history of the Order of Preachers. As a community of learners, students will enjoy simple living and good meals at the Belvedere, a Dominican guest-house. Students will visit many interesting sites in southern France, including places that are special to the Dominican Order’s early years. Proposed plans for the daily tours from Fanjeaux include Prouilhe, Toulouse, Carcassonne, Albi, Collioure (on Mediterranean), Montségur, Grottes de Niaux (prehistoric paintings), and Chateau de Puilaurens. The program concludes with four days in Paris.
Students will take a three-credit course, “France in the Middle Ages,” and learn about the history, philosophy, art and literature of the period, both in class and on field trips. The interdisciplinary course is taught in English; no previous knowledge of French is necessary.
Airfare travel grants plus $1000 towards tuition costs may be available for up to two full-time members of the Caldwell University student body interested in participating and advancing the College community’s dialogue about the Dominican mission and tradition. Students must complete a separate application for a Student Airfare Grant.

LEEDS TRINITY UNIVERSITY (ENGLAND)
Leeds Trinity University has a Catholic faith foundation and is located in Leeds in Horsforth, West Yorkshire, England. Through the exchange agreement, Caldwell University students do not have to pay any tuition fees to Leeds Trinity University; students would only pay for accommodation, food, airfare, etc…

Universidad Iberoamericana (Dominican Republic)
UNIBE is a private non-profit university established in Santo Domingo in 1982. It is one of the leading universities in the Dominican Republic, recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and technology of the Dominican Republic. The main campus is located in the heart of the capital in Santo Domingo and the second campus is located in Cap Cana located in La Altagracia, touristic city at the east side of the island.

Caldwell students can pick from a variety of courses and programs to study in Santo Domingo or Cap Cana. UNIBE offers a variety of different majors that include Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Psychology, Law, Education, and many others.
Our faculty-led short term trips are associated with our DREAMS Leaders Scholars program that is grant funded. Students may have the opportunity to fund their trip through campus work opportunities. For more information, contact the study abroad advisor.
