The degree required for a physician assistant is a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPA), which usually takes two years. Most physician assistant programs require students to have a 4-year undergraduate degree.
Individual programs may require additional courses in science, math, humanities, and social sciences.
Salus at Drexel University (4+2 Program)

Application requirements: Grades of C or better in prerequisite courses, GPA > 3.2, interview.
Saint Elizabeth University (4+2.3 Program)

Apply: Fall semester of junior year at Caldwell.
Benefit: Guaranteed interview for up to five qualified Caldwell graduates; students know that they are accepted during their junior year.
Application requirements: Grades of B or better in prerequisite courses, overall GPA > 3.2, pre-requisite GPA > 3.4. Admission requirements include direct patient care hours, PA shadowing hours, community service hours, and PA-CAT scores.
