With over 30 years of nursing practice, I am delighted to share my enthusiasm for nursing education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Over the years, I have focused on direct-patient care, and nursing education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, I have served in several administrative roles. Presently, I am the Assistant Dean of the School of Nursing and Public Health.

My clinical areas of expertise include chronic disease management with a focus on diabetes. My own Doctor of Nursing Practice project focused on transitional care nursing and my current practice involves ensuring the highest level of quality care is being provided to one of the most vulnerable populations.Throughout my professional practice, I aim to provide high-quality care and education to those with chronicd disease by communicating, collaborating, and applying evidence-based practice to promote the best outcomes.

As a nursing faculty member and administrator working in higher education, I am dedicated to promoting student success and positive program outcomes. I believe a student’s success is built through being an active, engaged learner, receiving positive mentoring, and being exposed to varied experiential learning opportunities. I enjoy problem-solving and collaborating with colleagues to build programs to meet needs and improve outcomes.

I am an active member of the New Jersey State Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau- Psi Mu Chapter, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES). I maintain certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP-BC),and through ADCES as Board Certified Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM).

Dr. Aneesha Jean is a tenured faculty in the School of Nursing and Public Health. A graduate of William Paterson University, Doctor of Nursing Practice program (DNP) and Ramapo College of NJ MSN and BSN program. Dr. Jean areas of expertise include Maternal Child Health Community and Public Health.

Dr. Kelley received a DNP and MSN from Loyola University, New Orleans, LA; nursing degree from Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing (NJ) and additionally holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. Her areas of expertise include Trauma/Critical Care, Medical Surgical, Neuroscience and Health Assessment. She currently is a full Professor in the Nursing Department within the School of Nursing and Health Sciences and, in addition to teaching in the classroom, is the Undergraduate Nursing Student Success Coordinator. Her doctoral focus centered on best practices for assessment of PTSD in returning veterans receiving care in community settings.

Catherine Jirak-Monetti, PhD, RN has been a Registered Professional Nurse in both NY and NJ for forty years. She has been a Nurse Educator for 33 of these, having taught at major universities at the undergraduate through doctoral levels. She earned her MA from New York University; a Post Masters Certificate in Gestalt Psychotherapy; and, as a named Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Scholar, her Doctor of Philosophy from Rutgers University, School of Education. She is also a Qualified Therapeutic Touch Practitioner and maintains a private practice in NJ.
