This collaborative initiative between the New Jersey Academy of Science (NJAS), Caldwell University, NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development – Industry Partnerships – Life Sciences, and Biotech Champions aims to expand access to biotechnology careers for high school students in New Jersey.

Location: Caldwell University
Eligibility: Rising high school Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors (Classes of 2029, 2028, 2027) Note: Students must arrange their own transportation.
Deadline to Apply: Applications accepted until Friday, April 10, 2026.
Acceptances Announced: no later than Friday, March 27, 2026.
Program Fee: If you submit payment in full by May 1, the early bird fee is $1,800. After that, the fee increases to $2,300. We encourage you to finalize payment by May 1 to take advantage of the early bird pricing. All program fees are due by May 15.

Conduct experiments using advanced techniques to find an answer to your research question.
Week 3 (On-Campus): Bringing Your Research to Life!
Finish your experiments and develop a research poster.
Learn data analysis, troubleshooting techniques, and professional research presentation skills.
Friday – Research Showcase and Career Panel featuring feedback from scientists and industry leaders.
