The Career Development Office provides ongoing career counseling, career education and testing. The student is encouraged to individually plan and research career and academic opportunities throughout his/her education. Counseling can assist a student who is deciding on a major, exploring career options, changing careers or considering graduate study. The career counselor is available for individual career counseling and assistance with clarification of goals. A Career Planning course is offered for credit. Programs on selfassessment, resume-writing, and career opportunities are presented.

Information on career planning, individual careers, and graduate programs, as well as videotapes on resume-writing, interview techniques and job search are available in the Library of the Student Development Center, on the second floor of Newman Center. These services and resources can assist students in creating realistic career and life plans.
