The Caldwell College women's tennis squad was ranked ninth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Preseason Poll, the league announced. Conference newcomer Concordia was picked to win the league by the poll, which was voted on by the CACC's nine head coaches.

The Caldwell College women's soccer team was predicted to finish fourth this season by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference 2009 Preseason Poll, the league announced today. Last season the Cougars tied for fourth place with a conference record of 7-3-1 and advanced to the semifinals of the CACC Tournament. Philadelphia and Georgian Court, last year’s CACC Tournament finalists, tied for first in this year’s poll, which was voted on by the conference’s 13 head coaches.

CALDWELL VOLLEYBALL RECEIVES TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD FROM AVCA

The Caldwell College volleyball team was among 46 NCAA Division II volleyball programs to receive the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association, the organization announced. This is the first year the Cougars earned the honor, which recognizes teams for their academic achievement.

Maddy Amon, a libero from Louisville, Ky., and Susan McDonough, an outside hitter from Saline, Mich., will join 12 returning players from last year's squad that went 18-11 and captured the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division crown.

Roberts) and Kourtney Wilson (Islip, NY/St. Anthony’s).

This is the third consecutive year on the all-Met women's basketball first team for Lynch, while Perez is a repeat selection on the men's first team after earning all-Met second team honors in 2005 and 2006.

Newman Center. The loss leaves the Cougars (12-15 overall, 8-8 CACC) in a tie with Felician College for third place in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division standings. Since the tie-breaker is in favor of Felician, Caldwell will be the fourth seed in the CACC Tournament and will play Bloomfield College in the first round.
