Caldwell, NJ – Secretary Chaly is visiting New Jersey colleges and universities statewide this fall to engage with administrative leaders and students. She came to the Caldwell University campus on Thursday, October 8 to meet with students and discuss their experiences pursuing a college degree in the Garden State, the support they’ve received from the university, what they hope to achieve, and what ideas they may have for the Sherrill Administration to continue promoting their success.

They discussed accessibility and affordability of higher education for New Jersey students of every background, as well as student well-being and belonging to ensure students feel supported so that they can stay enrolled and progressing towards graduation. Secretary Chaly also spoke with students about workforce preparation, ensuring graduates gain the education and skills essential for career success and social mobility.
