Caldwell, NJ – The Student Center Auditorium buzzed with energy on September 17 as nearly 200 Caldwell University students filed into the 2025 Fall Career Fair, hosted by the Office of Career Planning and Development. For many, it was their first taste of the professional world; for others, it was another step toward securing an internship or job. For everyone involved, it was a chance to connect, explore possibilities, and imagine futures.

Dozens of employers lined the room, representing industries as varied as education, health care, community services, and business. American Dream, Hackensack Meridian Health, Sax LLP, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission of Newark, Prompt Parcel LLC, La Casa de Don Pedro, YMCA of the Orange, and Rainbow Child Care Center & Preschool were among those actively seeking Caldwell students for internships and part-time or full-time roles.

Students embraced the opportunity with curiosity and excitement, and one first-year student summed it up simply.

“It was great seeing the types of jobs that are out there and to meet the employers.”

That sense of discovery—of realizing the range of career options available—was a common theme throughout the day.

Employers, too, were eager to share their enthusiasm. A representative from Rainbow Child Care Center, who has attended Caldwell’s fairs since their inception, reflected on the steady growth of the event.

“I always get a few candidates for part-time entry-level roles. This year the fair was much better than previous years.”

Others noted the event’s strong organization and the caliber of Caldwell students. Recruiters from Prompt Parcel LLC suggested only one change—more time.

“It was well organized and should be longer. Maybe an extra hour,” they said, with a representative from the YMCA of the Oranges praising the student body directly.

“The students were great. I’m glad to have come to this event.”

The Career Fair is more than a hiring event—it’s a learning lab. Students practiced the art of a professional introduction, refined their networking skills, and began building relationships that could lead to internships and jobs down the road. Employers, in turn, expanded their reach to a motivated and diverse student population.

That commitment to connection continues with the upcoming Health and Sciences Career Fair, scheduled for October 22, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. While the focus is on health and science-related fields, the invitation is open to all majors.

Dr. Kyle Younger, Director of Career Planning and Development, explained, “Companies in the health and sciences need interns and employees of diverse backgrounds. Graphic design, for example, is used in the healthcare industry. It is not a fair just for science and healthcare majors.”

As the Fall Career Fair showed, students leave these events not just with business cards, but with confidence, inspiration, and a clearer sense of where their paths may lead. For employers, the fair reaffirmed that Caldwell University is home to a pool of talented, engaged, and diverse future professionals ready to make their mark.
