Certificate in Media Production
Caldwell University is proud to offer a Certificate in Media Production through the Department of Communication and Media Studies.
The Certificate in Media Production curriculum provides an interdisciplinary foundation for those seeking careers in communication fields. The program provides a unique blend of business, video production, performance, and art. The knowledge and skills gained in this program will give you a competitive edge in the fields of industrial video, public relations, and marketing.

Through this coursework you will develop in-demand skills in a wide range of media production areas. These skills include video editing, in-studio TV production, and audio editing for radio and podcasts. You will be able to apply this knowledge in the fields of public relations, advertising, and marketing.
The University is willing to waive the prerequisite courses (BU 221 Marketing and CO 201 Contemporary Mass Media) for students who have completed an equivalent course at the college level.
The certificate program is designed to also be offered as a minor in Media Production in the Department of Communication and Media Studies for matriculated students at Caldwell.
The certificate in Media Production consists of six 3-credit courses:
- CO 210 TV Production
- CO 350 Radio Broadcasting and Podcasting
- BU 347 Public Relations or BU 360 Advertising

The 18-credit Media Production certificate program is open to applicants with a high school diploma at a cost of $725 per credit. Financial aid and discounts may be available.
