Caldwell, NJ – Caldwell University officially opened its newly renovated Reading Room in Jennings Library on Thursday, August 27, 2026. The space was updated over the summer to a contemporary, flexible environment tailored to the needs of today’s students.

“Returning students have expressed overwhelming enthusiasm for the upgraded facilities, and we are thrilled to welcome them into these beautiful, engaging spaces,” said Victoria Swanson, Library Director.

This transformation was brought to life through the generosity of private and foundation donors, including the George I. Alden Trust, the John F. Byrne Family Foundation, Ann & John Larue and Neil & Ellen Bower, relatives of Sister Vivien Jennings, Caldwell’s sixth president, and for whom the building is named.
