Caldwell, NJ – Nasir Tippet, BSN, football student-athlete, is a very recent graduate of Caldwell University, and he recently had the opportunity to attend the NFL Draft through the university’s partnerships with the New York Jets and Johnson & Johnson.

Nasir was chosen for this experience because of his background as a four-year football student athlete, as well as his academic pursuit in nursing. He describes attending the draft, saying, “It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I had the opportunity to travel to Pittsburgh, a city with
a deep sports culture and history, and experience something completely new.” Joined by his brother, Nasir was given VIP access to the draft.

“What stood out to me most was seeing people from all different backgrounds and places come together over a shared passion for football. It was exciting to witness how sports can unite so many people.”

Nasir Tippet received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Commencement Ceremony on May 16, 2026, and is planning to begin his career as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting. Reflecting on his time at Caldwell University, he says, “I have grown tremendously both academically and personally through my experiences in the classroom, during clinical rotations, and on the football field. Caldwell has challenged me to develop discipline, resilience, leadership, and adaptability in many different environments.”
