Caldwell, NJ – National Night Out is an annual community building event held on the first Tuesday of August each year. The event is designed to build relationships between the local community and law enforcement. Caldwell University has been a proud host of this event for the past 6 years. The university parking lot was full of tables for local groups and businesses connecting with the community as well as a DJ and food from Cloverleaf Tavern, Forte Pizzeria and Guerriero Gelato.

Caldwell University Athletics had a table with a prize wheel, offering ticket vouchers to lucky winners. University mascot, Coop the Cougar was there too, spreading school spirit and delighting young future Caldwell Cougars. The university’s Art Therapy program also had a table offering temporary tattoos and coloring books for children at the event while spreading the word about The Mary Jo Rolli Codey Center where the local community can receive mental health counseling from counselors with art therapy training and advanced master’s students under the supervision of program faculty.

The university is proud to host this event and open our doors to the community.
