Caldwell University and Saint Elizabeth University Sign Elite Partnership for In-Demand Master’s Programs
Caldwell, NJ – In yet another progressive step, Caldwell University has inked an elite partnership with Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown, NJ that provides students with the opportunity to pursue competitive Master of Science degrees in Physician Assistant and Speech-Language Pathology with SEU after earning Bachelor of Science degrees from Caldwell.
This signing will provide Caldwell University students with access to exclusive, in-demand master’s programs that may otherwise be unattainable, given the limited offerings in New Jersey. The agreement includes a number of seats in the master’s programs guaranteed to qualified Caldwell University graduates who meet all requirements.
Nationwide, the demand for Speech-Language Pathology is very high. Cohort sizes remain very small, which means entrance criteria remain highly selective. Additionally, Physician Assistant remains a fast-growing field, leading to a nationwide acceptance rate of 5-15%. And now, instead of being deterred by this reality, Caldwell University students will be able to overcome these hurdles and see real opportunity ahead of them, while also being able to remain in New Jersey.
“To be able to tell our students that the odds of earning acceptance to one of these elite master’s programs have shifted in their favor,” shared Caldwell University President, Jeffrey Senese, Ph.D., “is something we care deeply about as their primary providers of higher education and professional opportunities. Student success has always been our priority, and this partnership strongly reinforces that.”
For Saint Elizabeth University, with its Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) and candidacy for Accreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, knowing they will be accepting strong, well-rounded students from a partner Catholic institution that educates its students with similar values, this partnership helps to bolster their existing credibility.
“Caldwell University is known for producing strong graduates, so it was an easy decision for us,” said Saint Elizabeth University President Gary Crosby, Ph.D. “We look forward to welcoming Caldwell students to these programs. Saint Elizabeth University is proud to join with Caldwell University in creating clear, attainable pathways into two of the nation’s most competitive and in-demand healthcare fields. This partnership not only expands access for Caldwell students but also strengthens our shared Catholic mission of preparing compassionate, highly skilled professionals who will meet critical workforce needs across New Jersey and beyond.”
Caldwell University students in the Biology B.S. and Health Science B.S. programs will have the opportunity to pursue the Physician Assistant M.S. degree, and students in the Communication Science and Disorders B.S. program may qualify to pursue the Speech-Language Pathology M.S. degree.
This signing is only the beginning of the exceptional articulations to come, which will also bring Saint Elizabeth students into our signature graduate programs. To learn more about these new exciting opportunities for our graduates, visit Saint Elizabeth’s PA Program and SLP Program.
