Seton Hall University Ed.D. Seton Hall University Dr. Joan Moriarty is a retired Principal, District Math/Science Supervisor, and teacher certified in New Jersey. At Caldwell, Dr. Moriarty Co- coordinates the doctoral program in Education Leadership with Dr. Joanne Jasmine. She also coordinates the Educational Administration degree and certification programs for NJ Principals, Supervisors, and Superintendents. Area principals and superintendents are members of the Principals’ Roundtable, coordinated through the Educational Administration programs. Professional development activities are presented on current topics in education. The 23-24 school year focused on AI. The upcoming school year hopes to focus on STEM and the teaching of science and the teaching of Math. The Department of Education works closely with the NJ Department of Education to increase the diversity and the teacher population in New Jersey.

Rutgers University I have been an educator for over 51 years, having served as a 5th grade teacher, vice- principal and principal of a K-8 elementary school, principal of a 5th-8th grade middle school, principal of Newton High School and Superintendent of High Point Regional High School. I received my Ed.D. from Rutgers University where I served as an Adjunct for over 25 years. As a consultant for Stockton University’s ETTC, I have trained many school district staff members in New Jersey covering various topics including: behavior management policies, 504 planning, Intervention and Referral Services and the Danielson Staff Evaluation model. As an Associate Professor at Caldwell, I have taught Freshmen Seminar and Graduate School of Education courses both online and face-to-face. I coordinated the Masters in Higher Education Program and served as the lead instructor for Capstone courses in that program. I have also volunteered my time to assist with advising students in academic recovery, and I enjoy my advising responsibilities in the School of Education. I review books for the AASA School Administrator Magazine. I also served as a coach to a sitting principal in a K-8 school. I am very interested in the possibilities inherent within the developing AI technologies, particularly as applied to education. Although it appears this is a difficult time to be an educator, it is also an exciting time with many significant changes on the horizon. It is my belief that my students will be at the forefront of those changes.

She teaches undergraduate students, master level students, and doctoral students. Dr. Jasmine coordinates the M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction program designed for experienced teachers to further enhance the professionalism and quality of teaching. She also co-coordinates the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership with Dr. Joan Moriarty. This program provides the students with the research, knowledge, and tools to become leaders in the field of education. In addition to her teaching, Dr. Jasmine has several publications and presents at conferences at local, state, and national levels focusing on areas of teaching methodology, reading, language arts, and early childhood curricula.
