The department of History and Political Science at Caldwell University offers B.A. degrees in history, political science, and social studies. Students may also choose to pursue New Jersey State K–12 Teacher Certification.
Special opportunities for our students include internship and cooperative education programs offered through local government administrators, the New Jersey Historical Society, the Grover Cleveland Birthplace, and the Willows at Foster fields. A semester in Washington program is available through American University, as are study abroad options.
Independent study projects in all areas of history and political science are available to our students. They may also pursue membership in Phi Alpha Theta (the international history honor society) or Pi Sigma Alpha (the national political science honor society).
