Caldwell University welcomed 125 high school students to Cougar Campus and Instant Decision Day on Nov. 7.  While public K-12 schools were closed for the NJEA annual convention, many high school students took advantage of the day off to experience college life at Caldwell.

The event kicked off with greetings from President Blattner and Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management Steve Quinn.   Students were able to sit in on classes, meet with professors in the academic programs, and talk to staff about clubs, residence life, activities and services.   At lunch, Dr. Blattner visited the tables to talk with students and parents.

Students who had their application, SATs and transcripts together were able to apply and get instant admissions and scholarship decisions.   “This day was a great opportunity for the high school students to get a feel for a typical day with classes in session at Caldwell University,” Quinn said.  “They are ahead of many of their peers because they were able to get an instant decision in November when most high school students don’t hear from other schools until January.”

Cougar Campus and Instant Decision Day is an annual event held each November at Caldwell.
