The Caldwell University Health Professions club held its third annual Halloween for Hunger drive. The club members asked staff, faculty and alumni to donate nonperishable goods. They also went door to door in the borough of Caldwell seeking donations. “Our club is very focused on service and food is very much needed,” said Koumudi Thirunagaru, president of the club. A biology major, Thirunagaru works in an urban hospital and she says sees the realities of those who can’t afford the basics in life. The club members were grateful for all the contributions. “It is easy for everyone to pitch in (and help),” said Thirunagaru. The food was donated to the Community Foodbank of New Jersey.
