More on Senator Lesniak and the Lesniak Institute for American Leadership

Senator Lesniak served in the New Jersey State Assembly from 1978 to 1983 and in the New Jersey State Senate from 1983 to January 2018.  After 40 years in the legislature, he founded the Lesniak Institute for American Leadership which is aimed at  “developing the next generation of American leaders by teaching the principles of effective advocacy, offering first-hand experience through its causes, and partnering with grassroots organizations.” As described on the Lesniak Institute for American Leadership website, the organization was founded by the former Senator “who realized the need for an institution that teaches action-driven advocacy in addition to awareness.”
