The University community kicked off the season by gathering for the tree lighting ceremony on the plaza Nov. 16 with faculty, staff and students in attendance.  Readings were done by students Mason Corby, James McCarthy and Major Gifts Officer Joe Quinlan.  President Jeffrey Senese, Ph.D. described the meaning of the tree and encouraged all faculty, staff and students in attendance to embrace the joys of the season.  Attendees read a prayer together, placed red bows on the trees and joined in singing “Deck the Halls”.  Christmas music filled the plaza and hot chocolate and cookies were enjoyed by all!

Caldwell’s Annual Giving Tree

Purchase the gift, wrap and return it using the ornament as its gift tag no later than December 12. Community partners this year are Broadway House, Mercy House and Catholic Charities.
