Caldwell, N.J. – The Caldwell University Music Department invites the community to its annual Christmas Spectacular! on Friday, December 8 at 7 p.m. in the Student Center Auditorium on campus.

The University Chorale, under the direction of Professor Laura Greenwald, will be singing several pieces, including Morten Lauridsen’s “O Magnum Mysterium,” Eric Whitacre’s “Glow,” Elaine Hagenberg’s “Alleluia” and “Variations on Jingle Bells” arranged by Mark Hayes. The High School Honor Band joins the University Wind Ensemble, under the interim director Joe Bergen, performing new works, including “Lightway” by Jennifer Jolley and “The Loop” by Allison Loggins-Hull, as well as the familiar “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson and “Dashing through the Snow” arranged by Richard Saucedo.

The concert will conclude with the joint Chorale and Wind Ensemble leading the audience in singing several Christmas carols.

“We are delighted to welcome the community to our “Christmas Spectacular!” with the largest chorale, honor band and wind ensemble ever! Join us to sing and ring in the holidays,” said Greenwald.

General admission is $10 and Caldwell University students are free. Doors open at 6:30 and there are no reservations needed.
