Caldwell University celebrated academic excellence with new member initiation into its chapter of Phi Kappa Phi on March 30, 2023.

Five faculty members and 20 students were welcomed into the nation’s oldest and most selective multidisciplinary collegiate honor society.

“It was great to be able to initiate stellar Caldwell faculty and students into the Society this year,” said Ellina Chernobilsky, Ph.D., acting vice president of academic affairs and School of Education professor. “I am proud to call these faculty colleagues and these students, Caldwell students. They make all of us proud. I see tremendous capacity in each of these students and faculty and I look forward to seeing their growth–students in their graduate and professional careers, and faculty at Caldwell.”

The Society offers a number of opportunities for growth including awards, grants and scholarships.

Founded in 1897, the Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest and most selective honor society for all academic disciplines.  Its mission is to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others. Caldwell University, #335, received its charter in April 2016.
