CALDWELL, N.J. — Amanda Picozzi has been named Caldwell University Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach and Athletics Administrator, it was announced today by Mark A. Corino, Assistant Vice President/Director of Athletics.

Picozzi is a 2019 graduate of Springfield (Mass.) College, where she played lacrosse and field hockey, excelling both on the field and in the classroom, where she was recognized by the NCAA for her 4.0 GPA, earning NFHCA Academic All-Conference Honors in 2018. Picozzi’s teams won two Conference Championships and made three appearances in the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse tournament, advancing to the Round of 16.

“We are fortunate to have someone with Amanda’s knowledge and leadership skills in place to take our women’s lacrosse program to the level we feel it is capable of reaching,” said Corino. “She impressed us with her enthusiasm, and her varied experience will be a great benefit to our entire program.”

The Wyoming, Rhode Island, native obtained her Masters of Science in Kinesiology and Integrative Exercise Physiology from Temple University this past spring. She has been working as a sports performance coach and trainer at Ivy Rehab in Pennsylvania and has experience as assistant coach for 10 sports, including men’s and women’s lacrosse, at the College of the Holy Cross.

“I am looking forward to working with the core of experienced returning players in building upon what has been established in the Caldwell Women’s Lacrosse program,” said Picozzi. “The sport has grown tremendously at all levels over the past few years, and I think Caldwell is in a great place to attract top student-athletes.”
