B.S. Mathematics – Seton Hall University Dr. Garruto received her Ed.D. in studying techniques for improving mathematics comprehension for college students who struggle with basic skills. Additionally, she serves as co-principal investigator on a university STEM grant that focuses upon supporting and strengthening the mathematics and science skills of college students who major in STEM subjects. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, vacationing at the Jersey shore, and traveling. |

About Dr. Yousef Nejatbakhsh is a distinguished mathematician and educator, widely recognized for his expertise in applied mathematics, particularly in fuzzy systems and their numerical solutions. He currently serves as a full-time Assistant Professor at Caldwell University, New Jersey, in the Mathematics Department, a position he has held since 2022. In addition to his role at Caldwell University, Dr. Nejatbakhsh has contributed as a part-time Professor at Rutgers University and has held various adjunct positions at prestigious institutions such as the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Kean University, and Union County College. Dr. Nejatbakhsh’s academic journey began in Iran, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics from Payam Noor University, Khoy. He further pursued his passion for mathematics at Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch, Tehran, obtaining a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, focusing on the numerical solution of fuzzy differential equations and inclusions under the guidance of esteemed professors Tofigh Allahviranloo and Saeid Abbasbandy. His research interests are broad and interdisciplinary, spanning statistics, artificial intelligence, green energy, and robotics. This diverse interest has led him to contribute significantly to various fields, including the design and analysis of renewable energy systems, such as portable wind turbines, and advancements in robotics and AI applications in environmental and health sciences. Dr. Nejatbakhsh has an impressive publication record, including articles in peer-reviewed journals and numerous conference papers. His works reflect his deep commitment to applying mathematical concepts to solve real-world problems, such as sustainable energy solutions and financial performance optimization. An active member of the academic community, Dr. Nejatbakhsh has been involved in mentoring students, developing online mathematics courses, and participating in educational administration. His service extends beyond teaching; he has been instrumental in curriculum development and has served as an editor for several academic journals in industrial engineering and applied mathematics. Not only is Dr. Nejatbakhsh proficient in English, Persian, and Turkish, but he also brings a rich cultural perspective to his work, enhancing his teaching and research. His commitment to education and research excellence makes him a valuable asset to the academic community and an inspiring mentor to his students.
