Caldwell, N.J., May 1, 2015 -Caldwell University will celebrate its 73rd annual commencement Sunday, May 17 in the George R. Newman Center on campus. The graduate commencement ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. The undergraduate commencement ceremony will be held at 1 p.m.

Laura Schreiber will deliver the student address at the graduate commencement ceremony.

Laura Schreiber of Moorestown, N.J. will deliver the student address at the graduate
commencement ceremony. Schreiber will be receiving a M.A. in Counseling with
Mental Health/Art Therapy concentration. Kathleen Flynn will deliver the student address at the undergraduate commencement ceremony. Flynn, formerly of Highland Lakes, will be receiving a B.A. in Communication Arts and Political Science.

An honorary degree will be presented to philanthropist Michael Kambourakis who was integral to the founding of two nonprofits – the SEARCH Day program in Ocean, N.J. to assist those on the autism spectrum and the Dominican Republic Relief Organization to help the thousands of displaced Haitians who moved to the Dominican Republic after the 2010 earthquake. Active in the local community, Kambourakis is president and owner of Terzako Furs in Caldwell. The Dominican Republic Relief Organization has provided support for farmland irrigation and clean water and sanitation initiatives. The organization plans to build a medical clinic for those in need. SEARCH Day program provides individuals on the autism spectrum and their families with supports and services.

Caldwell University will award undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees. President Nancy H. Blattner, Ph.D. will present doctoral students with their PhDs, graduate students with their Master of Arts, Master of Business Administration, or Master of Science degrees, and undergraduates with their Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees.

The 50th Reunion Class will participate in the undergraduate ceremony.

Viewers can watch the ceremony live online via a link that will be found on the university website at 15 minutes prior to the start of each ceremony on Sunday May 17.

A commencement Mass will be celebrated in the Student Center on Saturday May 16 at 3:30 p.m.
