Caldwell, N.J., May 7, 2015 – Caldwell University Accounting students Elena Klarberg and Anthony Guarisco  were awarded scholarships of $5,500 each from the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. The Society’s scholarship fund is the largest professional scholarship program in New Jersey and provides excellent students the opportunity to achieve their goals.

Klarberg of Wayne and Guarisco of Cranford were among the recipients honored at the NJCPA’s 55th Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony on Thursday, April 23 at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel in Iselin. The ceremony provides an opportunity for the students to meet with practicing CPAs and representatives from many of the state’s leading accounting firms, giving many their first professional networking experience.

Accounting Professor Ann Marie Callahan congratulated Klarbeg and Guarisco, noting that “the NJSCPA scholarships are traditionally highly competitive and the Business Division of Caldwell University is very pleased that Elena and Anthony have garnered awards this year.”

Klarberg and Guarisco will be using their scholarships towards graduate school to continue their studies toward CPA licensure.
