Company owned by University alumnus and trustee Edward Collins ’98

CALDWELL, New Jersey (4-26-23) Caldwell University, a distinctive leader in Catholic, private liberal arts higher education, announced Monday that a longtime tradition, the University’s Annual Golf Classic, will align with new title sponsor Uplevel Entrepreneur, LLC. The company, headquartered in Miami, is owned by former student-athlete, Caldwell alumnus, and current University Trustee Edward Collins, ’98.

“With more excitement than ever before for Caldwell University and our ever-growing community of supporters, it’s fitting that one of our signature events is now aligned with one of America’s signature companies when it comes to entrepreneurship,” said President Matthew Whelan, Ed.D. “Caldwell’s success is made possible because of many alumni success stories, and few are more impressive than Edward Collins’ story. We are thankful for Uplevel’s title sponsorship of this friend-raising and fundraising event.”

The 34th Caldwell University Golf Classic, presented by Uplevel Entrepreneur, will take place Monday, June 12 at Essex Fells Golf Club. Shotgun start is set for 11 a.m., preceded by registration and brunch and followed by a cocktail reception and awards program. Nearly 120 golfers are expected to play, with alumni and friends welcome to join the post-golf reception.

Uplevel Entrepreneur, a wealth-coaching business, was created to help business owners achieve financial freedom by teaching them the secrets of wealth protection, wealth creation, and wealth accumulation. Collins, a serial entrepreneur, has more than 25 years’ experience building and scaling his own businesses up to and through six and seven figures each, and now focuses much of his time helping other entrepreneurs to do the same.

“I can credit Caldwell University for serving as the springboard for my career journey,” said Collins. “As I often say, I am ‘all in’ for Caldwell and wanted to express that through this title sponsorship. I hope other alumni and businesses join me in ensuring that our Golf Classic is a raging success so that students can ultimately benefit.”

Proceeds from the Golf Classic benefit the Caldwell University Scholarship Fund as well as the Bruce Gallagher Scholarship Fund, in memory of Caldwell’s former assistant men’s basketball coach who helped lead the Cougars to three Central Athletic Collegiate Conference (CACC) titles.
