Professor Theodora Sirota Honored with Nurse of the Year Award

Caldwell, N.J., Dec. 9, 2014- Nursing Department Professor Theodora Sirota, Ph.D., R.N.  was honored as a Nurse of the Year by the March of Dimes.  Sirota, an associate professor of nursing, was the recipient in the category of Behavioral Health. Caldwell Nursing Professor Aneesha Jean was a finalist for the awards.  Nurse of the Year Awards are given annually in approximately 19 award categories.

Through Nurse of the Year Awards, the organization recognizes nurses who demonstrate exceptional patient care, compassion, and service.

More than 5,000 nurses were nominated nationwide, including 209 in our area. New Jersey award recipients were announced at a special awards gala held on November 19, 2014 at Pines Manor in Edison.
