International Summer Camp

Caldwell University will be hosting an International Summer Camp in July of 2020 that will focus on English language learning and cultural Immersion. Children ages 13-18 years old will spend 3 weeks living on Caldwell University’s picturesque campus while studying traditional English lessons, cultural immersion, and several excursions throughout the Northeast of the United States to further engage children’s interest in academics and studying.

Academic content will be focused on core areas including Reading, Writing, Speaking and Math as well as cultural elective areas in Drama, Art, Music, and Sports. Evenings will allow for tutoring and more intensive academic work (at an additional cost) or review of the day’s work.

In addition to the academic content of the program, students will have the opportunity to explore American culture and higher education institutions including a Broadway Musical, the Museum of Natural History, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Wall Street, and several Ivy League institutions.

 Accommodations

Students will reside in Dominican Hall throughout the duration of the program.  Dominican Hall houses approximately 200 students in a suite-style living environment. Most are double occupancy bedrooms with a shared living space and kitchenette. The shared living space in these suites contains a couch, coffee table, dining table with chairs. All residence hall bedrooms are equipped with cable television service and data ports for high-speed internet access. Each floor has an open lounge equipped with furniture to encourage social interactions and relaxation.  Dominican Hall is fully air-conditioned and linens will be provided.

Laundry facilities are located on the lower level, 2nd, and 3rd floors. The 1st floor is home to the Dominican Hall lounge which is used as a multi-purpose space for a variety of events and programs.

Meals will be held in Caldwell University’s Dining Hall provided by Gourmet Dining Services.

Costs

The summer program will cost $6,000 USD.
