What makes Caldwell University unique or special?

I will never forget the moment my mother told me she had a sense of peace here and something deep inside was telling her I was meant to come to this college. I can honestly say that I was definitely meant to come here and I have been tremendously blessed in these four years. I love the campus and the fact that everyone knows each other. I get a sense that I am home here, and I think that’s what makes Caldwell University unique. I also love the town itself, and I always saw myself living in this town, which is now my new home.

What lessons have you learned at Caldwell University?

I have learned many lessons in the past four years, beginning with the true meaning of friendships and long-lasting relationships. I’ve learned many different qualities that havemade me a better person/leader.I’ve also learned what hard work and determination really are and how to better manage my personal life with my academics. Out of all the lessons I have learned here, I can truly say I have become a better, stronger individual and I am well prepared for the next chapter in my life.

What are your future career goals and how has Caldwell University prepared you for them?

My near-term career goal is to pass the certified public accountant exam as soon as possible and to go to graduate school for my master’s degree with an accounting concentration or get my law degree in taxation. Ultimately, I see myself as a partner at one of the major firms in my field. Caldwell University has many resources available on campus. Whether it’s workshops about how to prepare for an interview, what to wear, creating or enhancing your résumé, or counseling, I was never at a point that I didn’t know who or where to turn to. Christine Szeluga, from the career center, was a huge help for me finding an internship that turned into an offer. I am thankful for all the opportunities I have had here, and I believe Caldwell University has prepared me for the next chapter in my life, which involves reaching these goals..

What was your biggest achievement at Caldwell University?

I have had many achievements here, but my biggest has to be landing a job with Deloitte & Touche in its business-tax services line. I am looking forward to beginning my career in the fall.
