Student Lounge
New Student Lounge in Mother Joseph Residence Hall

The new student lounge, one of the most-anticipated projects on campus, is taking shape in summer of 2021. The soon-to-be-renovated lounge is be located in the space that was the former chapel in Mother Joseph Residence Hall.
Alumnae from the 1960s and early 1970s who attended mass in the old chapel may remember this space very well. And alumnae from these decades may also remember the old lounge and outside gathering spaces in and around Mother Joseph Residence Hall.

The “big reveal” of the new student lounge will happen at the start of the fall semester. Imagine the excitement students will experience as they return to campus and gaze upon an immaculate, beautifully designed, state-of-the-art 2300 square-foot space filled with natural light!
The new lounge will not only be a large space for study and socializing, but will also become a hub for campus club meetings, performance art, and musical events. Campus spaces and amenities are critical factors in recruiting and retaining students: As a major campus upgrade, this dynamic new space will enhance the experience of our students while helping to grow Caldwell University’s enrollment.
