Hello! My name is Favour Garuba. I am the President of the Health Professions Club for the 2018-2019 academic year. I have definitely benefited from all this club has to offer as an aspiring physician. From the volunteer programs to the speaker meetings to the companionship found in other members, this club has been a great blessing to me. It is for this reason that I decided to serve as an E-board member for two years as Treasurer first, then as President. I can assure you that this club can cater to your needs as an aspiring Health Care Professional. I hope you take advantage of this opportunity. If you have any questions, send an email: caldwelluniversityhpc@gmail.

Hello! My name is Stefanie Konboz and I am your 2018-2019 HPC Treasurer! I have been a member of HPC since freshman year. I have gained so much knowledge and experience since. The one thing I truly learned was to always keep your options open and go for every opportunity! Attending the meetings with speakers has taught me so much about the Health Professions journey even if they had professions other than those I was considering. For example, I learned about how to best use my time as an undergraduate student especially with getting involved. I also learned about the application process, professional schools, and to never ever give up if you have your mind set on an end goal. Everyone gets there eventually if they are truly passionate about it–and everyone has their own way of getting there. I originally planned on becoming a Physician Assistant, but have decided to become an Occupational Therapist upon completing an internship! If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to ask!
Hello! My name is Anwar Khalil and I am a Junior Biology Major. I am also the secretary of the Health Professions Club. I aspire to go into the medical field someday. Hopefully, I will be able to practice in either a cardiologic or neonatal setting. Joining the Health Professions club has opened my eyes to loads of endless opportunities. First and foremost, the health fair has given me endless volunteering opportunities such as volunteering at the local Autism Center. Through the health fair, I was able to make a ton of connections with professional schools! Through HPC, I was able to meet my closest friends and learn from my peers. Being part of HPC is not all about health care and medicine, it is about inspiring our fellow peers to follow their dreams. Thanks HPC for helping me not only find myself but my second family.
Hey, my name is Lamar-Shea Chang. I am a double major Biology and Computer Information Systems concentrating on Business and Finance, and a minor in Chemistry. I am currently a research student under the supervision of the Physical Science Faculty. In the long run, I want to become a cardio-thoracic general surgeon, but in the interim I am focusing on financial analysis and wealth management, while perusing several managerial positions in top tier companies.
