Caldwell University seeks an accomplished academic leader for the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs. As the chief academic officer, the Vice President for Academic Affairs holds administrative responsibility for all academic departments, academic programs, and academic support services, and serves on the president’s cabinet. The new Vice President for Academic Affairs will assume office during the summer of 2015.

Located in Caldwell New Jersey, approximately 20 miles from New York City, Caldwell University is a Catholic coeducational university founded by the Sisters of Saint Dominic. The institution is proudly celebrating two major milestones in 2014. This September, Caldwell celebrated its 75th anniversary, and in July the institution completed the final phase of its transition to university status. The culmination of a two-year process, this change reflects the growth and vibrancy of the campus over the past few years. Caldwell is a comprehensive university rooted in the liberal arts, with a core curriculum that provides each student with a value-centered education, grounded in the Dominican educational tradition. A faculty dedicated to student development helps Caldwell students succeed in the classroom and beyond.

Qualifications:
The incoming Vice President for Academic Affairs must hold an earned doctorate, possess significant experience in positions of increasing responsibility in academic administration, and demonstrate a record of accomplishment in teaching and scholarship sufficient to warrant faculty status. The successful candidate must be able to embrace and advance the mission and core values of Caldwell University, which are founded upon Dominican and Catholic traditions.
