Music Educators Club (MEC) Students

This club is a student-run organization that is open to any students participating in the music ensembles. Many music students are also members of the National Association of Music Educators (NAfME). This club hosts guest speakers on diverse topics, including “Using Orff instruments in the Classroom”, “Using Alexander Techniques when Performing”, “Music and Technology”, and “How to Get to Broadway”. Members can attend the New Jersey Music Educators Conference every February held in New Brunswick. They can participate in Caldwell’s Got Talent, Music Movie Night and the annual Caldwell Fest. They have attended performances on Broadway, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Papermill Playhouse. Every year they sing Christmas carols at Marion Manor.
