REQUIREMENTS FOR A FRENCH MINOR
Six courses (18 credits) with a grade of C or better are required. Consult with the Department Chair. See Undergraduate Course Catalog for course descriptions.
Travel experience courses, which can be taken for 3 credits and combine lectures and one or two weeks of travel experience, are frequently available as Winter or Summer Session Department offerings. Students have traveled to such destinations as Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula, Southern Spain, Paris and Fanjeaux in Southern France, Italy, Sicily and Argentina. Our students are also encouraged to take advantage of Study Abroad programs sponsored by other institutions. Recently, our students have enrolled in intensive language and culture programs at the University of Montpellier, the University of Rennes, in Cuernavaca, Mexico and in Madrid.

Le Club Français also known as The French Club has been established to promote interest in the culture of French speaking countries and in the French language. Activities include watching French movies, cooking nights, outings to French restaurants or cafes, as well as trips to New York City for art exhibitions, concerts or lectures, and much more. All students are welcome to join.
