Linda Luciano served as the Vice President, Planning and Chief of Staff to the President at Berkeley College. She was a member of the President’s cabinet, assisted in advancing the goals of the President; and was the Chief Planner of the College providing oversight of the Strategic Plan.
Prior to joining Berkeley College, Linda was employed at the Newark Alliance as the WIRED (Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development) Project Coordinator. She directed the activities of a $5.1 million federal grant encompassing 22 projects throughout eight northern New Jersey counties to transform the public workforce delivery system resulting in jobs for the unemployed and underemployed. Linda developed and maintained relationships with leaders in the higher education sector including community and four year colleges, universities and research institutions and with industry partners, agencies and governmental entities.
Linda served in various leadership roles from 1992 to 2002 at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey when she was promoted to Associate Dean and Chief Operating Officer for New Jersey Medical School in Newark. As the Associate Dean and COO, she provided the strategic leadership of the business operations of the school including marketing, facilities, information technology services, and administration.
Linda earned a BS in business administration, cum laude, from Caldwell University, an MBA in marketing from Seton Hall University and an Ed.D. in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania.
She received a Certificate of Completion from the Planning Institute, Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), is an alumna of the HERS Summer Institute at Bryn Mawr, a program for women leaders in Higher Education. She also was honored by the New York City YWCA as a member of the Academy of Women Leaders Class of 2010.
