Careers in health care today are not just about doctors and nurses anymore! This workshop will help you learn about the many different health care career options available. Young people attending the workshop will be better prepared to achieve their career goals. Parents and educators attending the workshop will be better able to advise and guide young people.

Topics covered will include differences between

• allopathic and osteopathic medicine
• occupational and physical therapists
• ophthalmologists, optometrists, and opticians
• R.N., BSN, LPN, nurse practitioners, and nurse anesthetists

We will also cover the specific areas of expertise of a

• dentist, chiropractor, licensed certified athletic trainer, physician assistant, biomedical informatics specialist

Presenter: Dr. Sook Choi is a Registered Nurse with a BSN from Seton Hall University, an M.S. in Zoological Science and a Ph.D. in Physiology from Rutgers University. She was a Nursing Instructor at St. Joseph Hospital, School of Nursing, completed a Post Graduate Program at Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital, Jersey City, NJ and was a Professor in Biology at Upsala College for 22 years. Dr. Choi is currently a Professor of Biology at Caldwell College where she has taught since 1995. She is also currently establishing a joint Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program between Caldwell College and Mountainside Hospital Center for Nursing Practice.
