What makes Caldwell College unique or special?
The diversity on campus is truly unique; there is something for everybody who wants to get involved.

The supportive teaching staff and the enriching friendships formed with my classmates have given me the courage and confidence to enter the counseling art therapy field ready to be a beacon of hope and encouragement for others.

What are your future career goals and how has Caldwell College prepared you for them?
Caldwell College provided a very well-rounded program that gave me the opportunity to work on my education from two different angles. I am now prepared to become a licensed counselor in addition to an art therapy professional.

What lessons have you learned at Caldwell College?
I have always been a quiet person, but at Caldwell College I learned how to express myself. I learned, mostly from fellow students, that I do have a voice.

What was your biggest achievement at Caldwell College?
Getting into the Psi Chi Honor Society. I work overnight at a data entry job, in addition to my classes and internships, so I don’t have much time for sleeping or taking good care of myself. The fact that I could still keep a GPA that was high enough for the honor society is a big achievement to me.

What activities were you involved in at Caldwell College?
I took advantage of internship opportunities at local mental health hospitals, where I gained experience in both counseling and art therapy. I assisted with an adolescent intensive outpatient program, led an adult addiction group, and conducted sessions for a young women’s trauma group, individual clients, and anger management.

I have student membership in the following professional organizations: NJCA (New Jersey Counseling Association), AATA (American Art Therapy Association), and NJATA (New Jersey Art Therapy Association). I also served as a student volunteer at the Art Therapy conferences held at Caldwell College.
