What makes Caldwell College unique or special?
The professors make Caldwell College unique and wonderful. I had so many great professors during my time at Caldwell. I know that each professor cared about my education and wanted me to succeed. I know I will keep in touch with many of my professors after graduation.
What are your future career goals and how has Caldwell College prepared you for them?
I would like to be in broadcast journalism as a producer. The communications department at Caldwell gave me so many practical skills that I was able to use during my internships at CNN and ABC News and helped get a job at PBS. If students are willing to learn and put in the hard work, Caldwell has so much to offer to prepare you for your field.
What lessons have you learned at Caldwell College?
I learned that anything is possible with hard work and determination.
What was your biggest achievement at Caldwell College?
I would say my biggest achievement has been taking what I have learned at Caldwell and applying it in my field. Being able to intern at CNN and ABC News gave me invaluable experience that I was able to use to help me land a job at PBS before I even graduated. The Career Planning and Development Center was so great in helping me with my internships and allowing me to do three internships during my college career. Every student should know how important it is to do as many internships as possible. It is such a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and obtain practical experience.
What activities were you involved in at Caldwell College?
I was president of the French Club during my Junior and Senior years. I was editor-in-chief of the Caldwell College student newspaper, The Kettle, during my junior year. Caldwell College has some great clubs and some of my best memories of Caldwell are my time spent at French Club activities.
Honors/Awards
I was on the Dean’s list every semester during my time at Caldwell. I was also inducted in to the National Honor’s Society of Leadership and Success, the National Catholic Honors Society and the Foreign Language Honor Society.
Anything else?
I want all Caldwell College students to know that just because we come from a small school doesn’t mean we have to think small. We can have big career aspirations and accomplish big dreams and Caldwell College can provide the tools we need to succeed.
