Robert G. Purdy

Career Profile: During the past ten years, Robert G. Purdy has held several senior management positions at American International Group (AIG), where he currently serves as President of the Specialty Workers' Compensation Division and Senior Vice President of the Domestic Brokerage Group. He oversees over 400 employees in the Finance, Marketing, Operations, Technology, Human Resources, and Legal departments of his division.

Robert began his career in teaching and obtained a master's degree as a Reading Specialist before transitioning to his roles in Insurance Management , first at CIGNA Corporation and then at AIG. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania and Delaware Rating Bureaus, the American Staffing Association Advisory Board, and the Am Comp Governing Board. He is an active speaker and writer of several Workers' Compensation articles throughout the country.

Education: Robert received his B.S. degree in Education from Mansfield University in Mansfield, PA and his M.A. in Education from West Chester University in West Chester, PA.
