Leslie A. Anderson
Career Profile: Leslie A. Anderson is executive director of the New Jersey Redevelopment Authority. She is responsible for the day to day management of NJRA which includes maintaining the stability of the organization, and managing the authority's loan portfolio and fiscal operations. She has overseen the investment and creation of the NJRA Redevelopment Training Institute which has trained over 300 professionals in the area of redevelopment planning, real estate development, and project finance. She has an extensive background in state and municipal government and urban economic development.
Education: Anderson holds a B.A. in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University.
Community Involvement: Leslie is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., which is a non-profit organization with the mission to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities. The organization is a sisterhood of more than 200,000 predominately Black college educated women. Leslie has served as the President of the Central Jersey Alumnae Chapter, the New Jersey State Coordinator, member of the Eastern Region Executive Leadership Team, the National Membership Intake Task Force and the National Documents Review and Revision Task Force. Currently, she serves as the Fundraising Chairperson for Central Jersey Alumnae Chapter. Over the past four years, Leslie has led efforts that resulted in raising over $70,000 to support local scholarships and community programming. Leslie is also currently President of the New Horizons College Club Board of Directors, headquartered in Plainfield, NJ. The program mentors high school students that are seeking to further their academic goals by attending college.
