Dominican Hall

The residence halls are administered by the Director and Assistant Director of Residence Life with the support of the Resident Director Assistants and student Resident Assistants. The Residence Council assists the Director and Assistant Director by offering students an opportunity to share in governing and planning activities for residents.

Dominican Hall, the newest residence hall on campus, is comprised of 50 suites that house 4 students each over four floors. There are three different suite configurations; apartments with single rooms and full kitchen, apartments with single rooms and half kitchen and apartments with double rooms and half kitchen. Each suite has a furnished common area with a dining set, sofa, chair and television stand. Every floor has a lounge with a plasma television and three of the floors also have a laundry facility. The residence hall rooms are equipped with cable television service, telephone service and voicemail, and data ports for high speed internet access. Dominican Hall has wireless internet capabilities.

In order to make long-distance calls in the residence halls, students will need to utilize a calling card. All residence hall rooms are equipped with cable television service, telephone service and voicemail, and data ports for high speed internet access.

All residents participate in the campus food plan which provides three meals each class day, an opportunity to purchase a la carte options through Flex Dollars and brunch and dinner on weekends and holidays. All meals are available for students in the Student Center.

ROOM CHANGES

Room changes can be made twice during the academic year. During the first two weeks of each semester, students may apply for a room change. Students interested in changing rooms are responsible for negotiating their own room changes, and any changes must agreeable to all parties involved. If agreeable, all parties that will be making the room change must obtain a Permission To Move Form from their RAs. They will submit the completed form to their RDA for approval. If approved, the student will be able to make the move.

Consolidation: Caldwell College Residence Life Department reserves the right to consolidate vacancies by requiring any student to move to a different but comparable space.
