


APPLICATION PROCEDURES AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION
Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. Application material is available from the Office of Graduate Studies or on-line at www.caldwell.edu/graduate. Apply by fax, mail, in person, or on-line.
Please check our website or call the Office of Graduate Studies for current tuition pricing. Tuition discounts are available to certain groups, in particular to those actively involved in the work of pastoral ministry, paid or volunteer, in a church-related institution and to those in the Dominican and other orders. Other tuition discounts may apply, for example to Caldwell College alumni and area residents. Some student loans are available to qualifying applicants; contact the Financial Aid Office at (973) 618-3222 early in your planning process. A limited number of competitive graduate research assistantships are available.
Admission
Requirements:
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 in the undergraduate major
- Official undergraduate/graduate transcripts
- Minimum of two years experience in ministry
- Three letters of recommendation: from a pastor, religious superior, supervisor, someone familiar with the applicant’s work history, a colleague.
- A 550-word, typed essay addressing one’s hopes for working toward the advancement of the Reign of God, vision of and aspirations for ministry in the Church, and reasons for wanting to be enrolled in this program
Transfer of Graduate Credit
Up to six graduate transfer credits may be accepted in the Pastoral Ministry Program upon approval of the Program Coordinator, provided the credits are from another regionally accredited institution and were earned within five years of the student’s registration at Caldwell College.
