Caldwell College Partners with the Catechetical Office of the Archdiocese of Newark on Tuition Discounts |
![]()
Caldwell College and the Archdiocese of Newark are joining forces on a new initiative to help provide thoughtful, inspired, and well-educated leadership for the Church in the new millennium. To help further the work of the Church, Caldwell College will be offering significant tuition reductions for men and women working for the Archdiocese of Newark and its ministries on a volunteer or paid basis. Reductions are available for both undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as for a combined B.A./M.A. program, and will take effect beginning in the spring 2006 semester. Caldwell College was founded in 1939 by the Sisters of St. Dominic of Caldwell, and today shares its Catholic heritage with faculty and students of many faiths. The College, located in Caldwell New Jersey, remains committed to offering high quality, values-based education and advancing the work of the Church in the twenty-first century. The men and women who work as lay ministers are a crucial part of the life of the Church, and need training and education to carry out their duties as effectively as possible. They require theological knowledge to understand and perform their work with confidence, and pastoral skills to enable them to exercise clear and compassionate leadership. As a result, the College is offering three kinds of tuition discounts to those engaged in parish ministries. Those who wish to complete an undergraduate degree in Theology may receive a 20% tuition reduction, and those seeking a graduate degree in Pastoral Ministry may do so at a 25% tuition reduction. Individuals who seek both the undergraduate and graduate degrees may apply for the combined B.A./M.A. program, which shortens the time until both degrees are attained. The undergraduate tuition discount will apply until the undergraduate degree is completed, at which point the graduate tuition discount will apply. |
