MOVE-IN DAY – AUGUST 29, 2009
The days are quickly counting down until your son/daughter leaves your home to take up residence here at Caldwell College. We are certainly looking forward to their arrival on campus!
Please arrive directly to the residence hall at the time you were assigned, unload the car and immediately move to the parking area to prevent traffic tie-ups. Our orientation leaders and student athletes will be available to assist you with the move-in.
Each family will receive 3 tickets for a complimentary lunch in the Student Center Dining Hall from 12:00-1:15 PM.
Information Session for parents of our resident freshmen is in the Alumni Theatre at 1:30 P.M. (Students will meet with their Resident Assistant at this time.) You will have time from 3:00-5:00 P.M. to help them settle in, do any last minute shopping and then say good-bye for the day as they go down to a party in the lower lounge of Mother Joseph Residence Hall.
SUNDAY – AUGUST 30, 2009
Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in the Student Center Gym.
Registration will take place at 10:00 AM in the Newman Center
Convocation, formally welcoming the freshmen into the College Community will begin 10:30 A.M. in the Newman Center. (Students line up in the Student Center Gym and should dress to impress!)
Following lunch, a program for all parents will take place in the Alumni Theatre and the Lecture Hall (groups divided alphabetically) while the students participate in "The Ultimate Road Trip".
President's reception at 2:45P.M., all will gather in the Newman Center Lobby.
Parents may depart at 3:30 P.M. but there will be programs for all the students until 8:00 PM.
MONDAY – AUGUST 31, 2009
Total Student Development Class - gather 8:30 A.M. in the Newman Center Gym and students will move to class locations. Students are required to attend the full day's sessions and will close the day with an ice cream social at the President's House from 3:00 P.M. until...
